·        Fuels, waters and sands incoming locomotives

·        Break down consists and “Dispatches” power from inbound trains

·        Moves power within engine service area as necessary

 

East Hauler

q       On Duty at Crater Yard (12 to 18 powered axles)

q       Couple to consist built on track 5 with train blocked:

q       SP I/C in Klamath Falls to front of train

q       GN/BN I/C in Klamath Falls to rear of train

q       May be cars for Derby

q       Depart eastbound to White City

q       Coordinate with White City switcher movement through White City and location of pickups

q       Pick up blocked eastbound cars at White City (Cars should be pre-blocked by White City Switcher) to fill out tonnage as needed

q       At yard limits contact dispatcher for authorization to proceed east

q       After authorization granted departs eastbound for Derby, Butte Falls and Klamath Falls

q       Switch Derby if cars for Derby are in train (Will need working time from dispatch)

q       After switch job is complete continue to proceed east prepared to make meets as directed

q       Contact Butte Falls crew to coordinate train movement through Butte Falls

q       On arrival in Pelican Yard turn train over to Pelican Yard Switcher or sets out I/C cars as directed by yardmaster

Through Trains (new options)

q       SP freight from Medford to Klamath Falls and from Klamath Falls to Medford (Will be known as the MEASM when traveling east and the ASMEM when traveling west.  These trains were the trains that ran between Medford, OR and SP's (former) Alton & Southern Interchange at East St. Louis carrying lumber products east and mostly empties west)

q       GN/BN freights to and from Crescent City via GN-BN/P&E/SP/C&OC.  (Trains will be unit trains for unloading at Crescent City and may include grain, coal and possibly chips). Route will be GN/BN at Klamath Falls, P&E Klamath Falls to Medford, SP Medford to Grants Pass and O&OC Grants Pass to Crescent City.
